Signs or Symptoms Your Vehicle Needs a Brake Inspection

Brake maintenance is important in helping ensure the safety of you and your passengers.

If your brakes are making a squealing sound, that may be a sign that you need brake service immediately. Consult a certified technician for a brake inspection any time you notice this sound or any irregularities in your car’s braking performance.

From drum brakes to disc brakes, calipers and rotors, to shoes and pads, the highly trained technicians at Philippine autoCITI Services know your brake system and can perform brake inspections and brake pad replacements on almost every make and model. This includes models equipped with ABS, otherwise known as an Anti-Lock Braking System.

Brake Inspection

Philippine autoCITI Services technicians can detect most brake problems big or small. They start by inspecting all major brake components: discs, brake pads and shoes and brake lines. After a thorough inspection, they can make brake repair suggestions based on wear and your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations.

Brake Pad Inspection

During a brake inspection, pads will be measured by a Phil. autoCITI technician. Brake Service replacement is recommended based on the results of a complete brake inspection using vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations for disc pad/drum shoe minimum thickness and actual measurements.

Check the Discs

Discs are vital to slowing down and stopping your vehicle. When you press the brake pedal, pressure is applied to the disc by brake pads on each side. Each disc is inspected for rough spots, warping or damage. Discs should be shiny and show little signs of wear. Damaged or warped discs should be resurfaced or replaced immediately.

Examine Brake Lines

We check the hard metal brake lines for corrosion and cracking as well as if the rubber lines are still pliable and soft.Replacing brake linings before they become damaged can save key system components and money. After the inspection, a written evaluation, with detailed diagnoses of findings, is provided and reviewed with you.
